Disney on Ice worlds of enchantment

Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment is such a magical experience. The lights, costumes, music and atmosphere make up for a great day / night out for any Disney fan (I’m sure even those who don’t like it that much would find it hard not to dance or sing along).

Get to the show early to see the pre show fit to dance show, a nice little warm up to get everyone excited and ready. I personally think this could go on a little longer, we got to our seats really early and had to wait around a while so it would have been nice to see some more of this while we waited.

We were greeted by the familiar faces of Mickey, Minnie, Donald and my personal favourite… Goofy telling us about the adventure, they come out throughout the show to lead us into the next part and keep us entertained while they set up.

The Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment show focused on Toy Story, The little Mermaid, Cars and Frozen.

The first thing Mickey and the gang lead us into is Toy Story and I have to say it’s probably my favourite bit of the show, I would go as far to say of all the shows we’ve seen! It was so colourful and the costumes were amazing. We join Andy as he’s packing up for collage. Woody and the rest of the toys end up at sunny side day care and the story plays out. They even included Barbie and Ken which Pops found fun.

The second part of the show was all things under the sea. We join Sebastian, Flounder and Ariel and watch as she falls in love with Prince Eric and makes a deal with Ursula… only to be tricked. True love wins out in the end.

We’re then greeted by Mickey and Minnie in their shiny red car which breaks down. Uh oh, we need a tow truck. Mater to the rescue! He’s joined by Sally and Lightning Mcqueen who do some tricks on the oice, fix the car and head off. I loved the addition of Cars but it wasn’t very long. Pops hasn’t seen the film yet so that didn’t bother her much but I’m sure there was plenty of Cars fans that wanted more from them.

The show ends with frozen, a firm favourite with Disney on Ice. It’s not hard to see why as the kids, Pops included, really do still love it.

We had an amazing time at the show, it was really nice to be able to do one last thing with Pops on her own before the baby comes.

If I could pick any Disney films to be included in the next Disney on ice it would be Moana and Mary Poppins!

What would you choose?

Disney on Ice worlds of enchantment is in Cardiff Motopoint arena until the 29th April. It then moves on to GE oil and gas arena Aberdeen, its final destination between 2nd – 6th May. Tickets and more information available from Disney on Ice.

Until the next post,

Are and Pops.

We were given tickets to the show for the purpose of this review, all opinions are our own.
