Halloween in and around Caerphilly 2018

I absolutely love Halloween but I’m not sure Pops is old enough to do the whole Trick or Treating thing just yet, plus MM is never off and I don’t fancy doing it alone. I’d still love to make the most of the spooky holiday (not sure it’s really a holiday but you know).

Things to do this Halloween in and around Caerphilly;

Caerphilly Castle is offering lots of Medieval fun with a Family Trail fun of ghost busting and witch hunting inside the maze. 27th and 28th October between 11am and 4pm. Adults £8.50, Under 16’s £5.10. Family tickets available. (While stocks last and for an additional fee you can even carve your own pumpkin while you’re there).

Caerphilly Castle for for the older ones – For one night only, head to the castle after dark to explore the haunted maze! 27th October @ 5.30pm, 6.30pm, 7.30pm. Over 7’s only. £5 a ticket.

Pugh’s Garden Centre’s Cwtchy Creepy Crawlies Halloween Workshop is £8 per child on the 30th and 31st October. Kids (recommended age 3-12) will get to make their own Sid the spider that they can take home with them. Find the spooky subjects on the ghost trail around the centre to win a prize too!

Funtastic will be having a Halloween party (with Mike and Sully from Monsters inc) on the 31st October between 5- 7.30pm. £7.50 per child which includes a cheese or ham lunch bag.

Team Rees Gym are making fitness fun with a spooky adventure around Caerphilly. Using your map you head around Caerphilly to find hidden ghosts which contain either a trick or treat. You finish off at the gym for BBQ, games and even a prize for the best dressed. £5 per child and suitable for all ages (Children to be supervised). 31st -5.30pm- 31st October.

Summit Centre are having a Neon Adventure Party – Dress code is NON horror so perfect if your little ones don’t like the scares or you don’t celebrate Halloween. £6 per person which includes lots of activities, glow in the dark paint, glow sticks and a hot drink and hotdog (veggie and GF options available too!) 31st October  – 5.30-9pm

Kids Fun Playcentre Ystrad are having two events

SEN and Disability Party which is £7.50 which includes food- 29th October 4-6

Monsters Ball – £8.95 which includes food – 31st October 4-6 which includes a UV disco and appearances from Mike and Sully from Monsters INC as well as Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent.

The Eden Centre will be doing a light party on 1st November 6.30-8.30pm. £4.95 each. Dress code is Superheros and Cartoon characters (nothing scary)

Musical Mayhem – A Spooktacular Play Party. Join them for fun Interactive music, movement and sensory play. Perfect for the littler ones. 26th October 10.30-11.30am – £4.50

Muddy Mayhem Room On The Broom – Afternoon Outdoor Play Session – October 28th 1.30-3pm (morning is sold out) £7.50

Hartbeeps Cardiff are having Pumpkin Pixies Parties. 27th October: 10am Happy Beeps (Sitting- 5 years)
11.45am Baby Bells (Newborn – sitting) £8 (older siblings reduced rate of £2) which includes refreshments, craft and 45 min party session.

Popplewood Playcentre  will be having a Halloween spectacular

-General entry for 3 hours
-Spooky library story and gory potions with Drumdrad the Wizard
-Halloween disco and party games
-Fancy dress competition
-Trick or treat goodie bags

So popular they’ve added an extra date (so be quick) 29th October 3-6pm. £12 a ticket.

Bedwas working mans hall’s Family Halloween panto – Friday 2nd November @ 6pm. Tickets are £5.

Cantref will be celebrating Halloween with Harry Trotter between Oct 27th and Nov 4th. Prices go by height for children and under 93cm are free!

Amelias trust farm will be putting on Halloween activities between 27th Oct – 4th Nov. From parties to pumpkin patches. Check each event for prices as they vary.

Little Learners UK have two Messy Spooktacular events suitable from 5 months to 8 years. 29th @ 1- 2 pm and 30th October @ 11 – 12pm. £6.50 (with sibling discounts).
