Meet Father Christmas at Hamleys Cardiff – 2017

We’re very much in the Christmas spirit so when we were asked to come along and meet Father Christmas at Hamleys we were very excited.

Hamleys is full of toys and wonder, a magical place that both adults and kids enjoy. Christmas being one of the most magical times of the year it feels right to join them together!

Event Price:

£19.99 per child  (Bookings must be made and paid for in advance)

What does the event include?

The Hamleys Elves
Fun games & activities
Write & post your Christmas wish list to the North Pole
Balloon & sticker
Gift Bag
Meet Father Christmas himself
Scrumpalicious sweet treats to take home

We were greeted by two very friendly and energetic elves and taken along to the party room, the door was locked so the kids had to work together with the elves to figure out how to open it!

The room was full of Christmas cheer, the cutest little chair and fireplace with a couple of very well decorated trees next to it. I’d love my tree to look like them.

The kids got to do a craft and it was so fun, I even had to do one myself! Such an easy thing to do (once I was shown how) but Pops would have happily sat and done it all night.

A little while after Father Christmas arrived, dressed in his usual attire with a big friendly smile the kids were so excited.

We played games and the kids sat around and listened to Father Christmas read them a story. To stop there being a long line for Father Christmas half the kids went to write their letters to him (which actually has a competition on the back) and the other half got to speak with him, get their gift and take some pictures.

There isn’t a photo facility so make sure you take your own camera!

The gift bag contains a Hamleys soft toy, colouring pencils, a Hamleys Christmas book and tree decoration. Pops loved all of it, I think her favourite thing was the tree decoration though.

After a little more time with Father Christmas it was time to leave, the kids got to fill up a cup with sweets which they all loved doing. It did get a little manic, as you’d expect with kids and sweets!

Both Pops and I had a really lovely time, I think you do get a lot for the price and all of the staff that were part of the experience made it very special.

Meet Father Christmas at Hamleys Cardiff is aimed at kids ages 2-8 and each session is 45 minutes long. A maximum of 14 kids per session and only one adult per child (it’s not the biggest room so I can see why they did this) The whole event felt like a little party and that made it even more special.

Things to remember if going:

Take your own camera

Book in advance

Arrive 15 minutes early

One adult per child (you can switch out adults if you want but only one in the room at anytime)

The room isn’t big so try to not take too much

HAVE FUN!

Father Christmas or Santa? Or something else altogether?

Until the next post,

Are and Pops.

Thanks to Hamleys Cardiff for inviting us along for the purpose of this review, all opinions are our own.
