It’s the start of 2017 and time for everyone to shout resolutions at the top of their lungs, full of hope and positive that this year will be the one.
I’m not too sure I would call mine resolutions, more like a bunch of things I want to achieve / do more of in 2017.
Eat at the dining room table.
One of the first things we did when we moved into this house was buy our dining room table, I can’t remember how many times we’ve eaten at it but it’s not nearly enough. In 2017 I want to have at least 1 meal at the table a week. (MM finishes late so we don’t have family meals in the week)
Declutter and organise – everything.
This is an ongoing battle for me, I’m a terrible organiser and even worse at keeping up with it.
Create and keep to a budget.
I’ve always considered myself a good saver but if I wrote down what I spent in a week so much could be saved, lunches out and toot from shops I do not need. I want to food shop more efficiently too.
Decorate the house.
So far we’ve only done up Pop’s room and that’s not even finished. I want to focus on making our house more of a home.
Reduce screen time.
This will probably be the hardest one of all. I have such a bad habit of reaching for my phone and searching for anything and everything. Constantly. We have the tv on all day too and it’s rubbing off on Pop’s so its time i sort this out.
Cook less ‘convenience’ food.
Since going to the sorted food and coop #cookinggap event it’s been playing on my mind, I want to step out of my comfort zone and start cooking meals that are both filling and healthy. (and don’t come out of a packet in the freezer or from a jar in the cupboard)
I think my main goal of 2017 is to become more confident in myself, the blog and me as a mum.
What do you want to achieve in 2017? Telling someone makes it more likely to happen… or so I heard.
