The summer holidays can be a bit daunting for parents, especially if you are still having to juggle work whilst having the kids home for 6 whole weeks. Your little ones are used to constant attention from teachers or their peers so it can be a bit of an adjustment for them being at home and figuring out what Summer Holiday activities to do.
Why are summer holidays important?
The school year can be pretty intense for kids so the summer holiday provides them with important down time. It allows them to recharge and prepare for the next year ahead. It is also a great time to take advantage of some much needed family time. We only get 18 summers (if we’re lucky) so we need to make the most of them!
Organise your summer holiday activities.
It’s hard to be completely planned and organised when it comes to children because they don’t always want to do specific things on specific days and you also have to factor in the weather if you live in the UK! You need to make a summer holiday bucket list. Get your kids to help you think of things you can all do from little indoor things to bigger more adventurous things and then spend your summer ticking them off.
