What to buy a 2 year old.
I decided sometime during the year that I was going to be strict on buying this Christmas and for the most part I have been… just not when it comes to Pops.
I’m a terrible bargain hunter (no relation to the show) and find myself buying all year round (so I save buying it all full price) I wouldn’t really say I saved much because I end up with way more quantity than I would had I just shopped in one go nearer to christmas – not only that but I end up losing presents that I’ve ‘put away’ so she can’t find them too. 😂 🙈
Are you stuck on what to buy your toddler?
Here’s some ideas;
Puzzles – I really like orchard ones but they are pretty expensive so keep an eye out at car boot sales or charity shops! I see lots of character puzzles in charity shops for around a pound but if you don’t like the idea of buying used the pound store have lots of nice ones at the moment.
Figures– Pops is really into little figures and things like Mashems but they can he so expensive and our charity shops never really have any decent ones in. The pound store have some in and they are okay but I’ve also seen loads of nice ones in pound world, they actually had the pack of furby mashems in there too (not sure if every store does but it’s worth a look) if you have a home bargains near you, you should check in there too!
Books – this isn’t something im getting Pops because we just haven’t got the room for anymore (she’s got 100s) but books are always a good present – even if it’s just so you have something new to read at bedtime. The works have such a good selection and you can get selected ones 10 for £10, if you don’t want that many the pound shops do good ranges and you can always find a decent one from home bargains (Sometimes less than a pound)
Doughs/ mouldable sand– we bought Pops dough for her birthday and it’s something she plays with alot so for christmas we’ve bought her a new set, the entertainer has really good deals on dough sometimes and you can get a really good set from around £2, the pound store sells dough (it’s just not as soft) or if you’re feeling crafty you can even make your own (find a link) I found some mouldable sand in primark for a few pound and it comes in a few different (bright) colours. You can make some of that too if you’d prefer.
Dress up – Pops loves to dress up in her little princess dresses so for christmas we’ve bought her a few little outfits. I love the range asda have for both boys and girls – they’re a pretty decent price too. Home bargains and b&m have a really good ones which cost from around a fiver.
What have you bought your little one this Christmas? Have you set and stuck to a budget? Let us know in the comments.
Until the next post,
Are and Pops.
My daughter is obsessed with Trolls at the moment so I’ve bought her some of those and a Nintendo DS with some games 🙂 x
Fantastic ideas it’s always difficult what to buy at Christmas.
Brilliant ideas! It’s always difficult to choose a good present that 2 year old will like
