My child will not do that – what you think before you have a toddler.

I met some friends for a play date and as two of us stood in the park watching our girls both fighting over one of three empty swings (somewhat defeated) We caught a glimpse of the lady with the baby in the swing next to them.

I turned to SB and couldn’t help but laugh.

The days of a 1 year old.

The days when you’re full of hope and sure that your kids wouldn’t be fighting over a swing.

What you think before you have a toddler…

You’ll teach your kids to share and behave in public.

To listen.

To not shout back.

To not watch too much TV.

For the most part our kids are wonderful but the older they get the more boundaries they push, that’s part of growing up and it’s normal.

It’s something all parents have to deal with at some point.

We are not alone.

YOU are not alone.

Until the next post,

Are and Pops.

This is very true. I always thought I would be the perfect parent with perfect kids until they came along and I had a very rude awakening lol.

this is absolutely the truth!! it’s a steep learning curve and nobody will ever be perfect! you can be the best you can be and guaranteed that will be more than enough!
