Daddy’s day. Father’s day gift guide 2016

Last year for fathers day I was pretty terrible as have I been the past 2 birthdays so I feel like this is the year I need to make up for it all.

This post is going to have a mixture of bits and bobs as well as some bigger presents, some of the bits were sent for us to include and see what we think but I made sure to only accept things I knew our daddy would like (and hopefully yours too).

Father’s day gift guide 2016;

Proper pickles, English Provender* –

MM loves lemon curd and we tend to always have some sort of chutney in the cupboard /fridge so when English Provender got in touch I knew I would love to see what their new pickles were like (well, he would ;)) I mentioned how much he loves the chutney and lemon curd and they were amazing enough to send us those too.
Unsurprisingly he loved the look/sound of them all.

Personalised peppa pig book*-
My daddy penwizard personalised book

When Penwizard got in touch to add the peppa pig my daddy book to our list I just had to, although pops isn’t the biggest peppa fan she definitely enjoys recognising her and add the personalisation to that and I was sold.
You choose from a mix of different hairstyles, colours and facial bits and bobs to make it look most like your child. You can make a daddy and up to 2 children. It’s such a lovely little book and I think any child (especially peppa mad ones) would love.
I’ve seen they do a mummy, grandma and grandpa too! Want to order one? Use BLOGGER20 for 20% off on their website until June 30th 2016!

Sugru*-

We were sent a gift pack of Sugru for our gift guide and upon opening it and being a bit disappointed it wasn’t edible (I get that with all inedible presents I buy him ) he started reading the booklet and was so excited to try it out. The putty looks so amazing and the possibilities are endless. Let’s hope this now means he’s going to get round to fixing all those things on his list!

Flying experience –

image

After every flight we’ve taken MM has told me how much he would love to fly a plane and finally… I’ve managed to find (and book) this for him. This is obviously his main gift and it’s a serious big one! I hope he doesn’t start to expect gifts like this every year.

Best dad lolly and foldable comb (for his beard) from Home Bargains-

image

Something edible, I just have too! The comb is more of a novelty thing although I’m sure I’ll have fun pretending to be Danny from grease when he opens it. 🙈

Boomf –

I’ve wanted to try these marshmallows since I first saw the advert but I just couldn’t justify the price. I saw a competition they were doing to send a fathers day image and gave it ago and was sent this great little pack. I think I would have preferred to have pictures of us on them but at least now we won’t feel guilty eating them.

Scholl gel active (work) –

image

Every night MM comes home from work he complains about his feet and I’ve seen so many adverts about these claiming to be amazing I thought I would get them for him to try out. Hopefully they help him so I don’t have to hear him moaning 🙈

Shirt and socks from Asda-

I saw these when I ran in to get something else and thought that he would like them. No other reason, they were on sale too which was nice.

That’s it for this year (and the next few, maybe)Happy fathers day to mine, MM and all you other dads. Enjoy it!

Until the next post,
Are and Pops.

Nice to see quite a variety of gifts in your article. Unfortunately my Dad died suddenly when I was a child. My grandparents were already deceased, so our family grew up missing out in experience/s of Celebrating Fathers Day. My bothers have children, so it is nice that Fathers Day has become more prominent in our culture. I love to think of Fathers being Respected and appreciated for their role within family life etc. To see Dad’s on outings etc with their children is such a Delight .

Maybe we should Celebrate the other relatives etc that we have in our lives.
