If you live in South Wales and love Lush (even if you don’t) you would have heard or seen about the new Lush Spa Cardiff store. Check out what we thought of the store if you haven’t seen it yet.
The store frontOn the same day we got to see the brand new bigger store we got to check out the glorious new spa upstairs.
Cardiff is one of only 8 spas currently.
You’ll find the others in;
Bath
Edinburgh
Liverpool
Leeds
Poole
and two London ones, Chelsea and Oxford street.
What does the Lush spa Cardiff (and all the rest) offer?
I believe the whole reason people love Lush is because of how much attention to detail they have, the products speak for themselves in quality but the knowing, friendly staff and amazing atmosphere is what pushes it ahead of everywhere else. The attention to detail is definitely there with their Spa treatments.
Well thought out in every aspect, from the products used, decor and music played. Each treatment comes with its very own soundtrack which you can buy to relive the relaxing experience at home!
The Planets – £285
The most expensive of the treatments they offer and the longest.
90 minute full body massage with a 30 minute and hand and arm massage which includes a Lush palm reading and a 60 minute lifted facial treatment.
Karma – £225
A 65 minute full body massage performed by 2 therapists. This treatment is inspired by Ayurvedic practices of India.
This treatment as well as relaxing you is said to treat your mind and spirit too.
Tales of Bath – £110
Do you love a Lush bath? Then take it to the next level with the Tales of Bath treatment.
Start off with a gentle seated shoulder massage, then bathe in solitude while you take time for yourself (mums, can you imagine??) and end with a side lying full body massage. Being side lying means its suitable for pregnant women too!
Synaesthesia -£125
An 80 minute multi sensory massage with option of hot stones or stomach massage. You even get to choose from 11 behaviours… i’m not sure what that means but it sounds interesting doesn’t it??
Validation Facial – £85
A tailor made rejuvenating facial which includes massage on the shoulders and neck, hand and arm and décolleté (whatever that is??)
You get a 30 minute consultation where you can choose items straight from the shop floor, perfect if you have favourites or something you’ve always wanted to try.
We got to see one of these in action and it looked amazing. One on my list for sure.
Tailor Made – £50
A 30 minute (with 15 mins consultation) deep tissue massage which will be focuses to long term areas of tension. It Uses medium to hard pressure, trigger point techniques and jelly discs.
This sounds perfect for MM as hes always having problems with his shoulder.
The Sound Bath – £70
A 60 minute experience including clarifying face and head massage, incorporating hot and cold stones, ear candles and tuning forks.
I’ve always wanted to try ear candles so would love to do this one.
Hard days night treatment – £95
Want to feel rested? Enjoy this Full-body massage treatment, involving gentle, passive stretching and pressure point massage.
75 minutes including a 15 minute consultation.
We also got to see this in action, It looked so relaxing and you even get to wear a pair of pjs during it!
The Spell – £70
A 60 minute unwinding foot treatment including a reviving soak, scrub and mask and deeply relaxing foot and scalp massage.
I have super ticklish feet so think I would struggle with this, if you are on your feet a lot (and are not ticklish) then this would be perfect for you.
The Good Hour – £90
Like the Tailor Made treatment this is a full body deep tissue massage, this one is 70 minutes long (with 15 minute consultation) but has the same technique.
The Comforter – £85
We also got to see this in action and from the second i walked into the room i knew it was my favourite. The smell, the atmosphere and way being in the room made me feel.
“Welcome to a world of pure imagination, full of candyfloss, bittersweet cacao kisses and dripping chocolate. First, an indulgent, hot chocolate scrub to cloud you in the heavenly ministrations of massage, then a bubbling rose serum, hot, rich and dripping on your skin, euphorically floral for your body to savour”
60 minutes with a 15 minute consultation.
(Some only in specific stores, check with your local one first)
Which do you think you’d enjoy the most?

I had no idea Lush have spa’s! Such a shame there isn’t more around the UK!
I have to admit I think the Tales of Bath sounds like It would be right up my street! The thought of time out just for me is wonderful – and a massage at the end of it too, Bliss!!!
I’m sure I would enjoy all of them but Karma sounds amazing. I am a sucker for body massages 🙁
