Potty training has begun.

I was going to plan out a proper post about potty training and how tos and do nots but on a whim I decided to see how she would be and pops has been really good. We’ve had a few accidents and a few on the wrong chair incidents but she’s taken herself to the potty even when we’ve not been in the room. She prefers to sit on her potty back to front… I’m not going to change that if it works for her! (I think she likes using the back as a handle)

That was the naked from waist down method, we’re now trying to teach her the same but wearing knickers (so cute) … which hasn’t been as easy!

The only communication pops gives when needing a wee is uh oh/gone/mummy which she uses for lots of things (especially mummy) so we’ve been having to ask her if she needs the potty/wee wee loads to try and get those words associated with it.

How long after the start of potty training do you start outside the house? I’m looking into getting a foldable potty to take out with us so I don’t have to take a big potty out… opinions on those would be great!

I’m still planning on doing a more detailed post once we’re dry completely so pop some tips and helpful info in the comments for me and wish me luck
😉

Until the next post,
Are and Pops.

It sounds like she is doing really well. I use to take the potty out with me in a carrier bag, nothing was portable when my boys were little x
