The benefits of laminate flooring with kids is a sponsored post but all opinions are our own.
————————
We bought our house November 2019 and once we had moved in we had so many plans on what we wanted to do to it at some point. The carpets downstairs were in good condition when we moved in, but having two young kids, it has now definitely seen its fair share of spills and trodden in food. We want to take the carpet out and get flooring that is easy to maintain when you have kids running around causing all sorts of mischief.
What are the benefits of laminate flooring with kids?
Affordable
The price difference between the two pictures shown are £39.99 per m2 for wooden and £9.99 per m2. Saving you £30 per m2. Depending on the size of the area you are doing you could save hundreds or even thousands of pounds.
Easy to clean and maintain
Dust repellent
Stain resistant
Scratch resistant
Super easy to clean and maintain and with kids constantly spilling and dropping things that is very important when choosing flooring.
A really easy way to clean laminate flooring is with a microfiber mop, so simple you can even get the kids to help with it.
Long lasting
When you pay out on big things for the house you definitely want those things to last, even if it is affordable option if it doesn’t last long then it doesn’t work out the cheaper or more affordable option long term.

These are great reasons for adults too, add the fact they come in so many styles means it really is a great option for family homes.
There are differences between real wooden flooring and laminate flooring but if you are on a budget and /or have small children laminate flooring is a great way to get the look of wooden floor without the higher price tag and risk of damage.
