Caerphilly is host to a number of great events and the annual Caerphilly food festival is always a big hit (if the lack of parking on our street is anything to go by)

Caerphilly food festival 2017 – Saturday May 6th, 10am-5pm.

This will be the 6th year for the Caerphilly food festival and with over 100 stalls plus entertainment it’s looking to be jam packed day. Lets hope the weather is on our side.

Start up the top of Cardiff road by Love Caerphilly and work your way down through the many stalls. (A lot of which will have samples out so don’t miss out on them)

Both the Farmers market inside Twyn Community Centre and the Craft fair down by the visitor centre will be running too so make sure you check those out for local and handmade items.

This year there will be Mini cheese market in the Twyn car park. Around 10 Cheese stalls serving up a great choice of cheeses for you to buy (i’m going to be heading there to see if there’s a chilli cheese)

To celebrate Visit Wales ‘Year of Legends’ there will be Tommy Cooper and Tom Jones tribute acts singing and doing magic as well as Welsh musicians and Mythical Dragons.

Wondering if the Food festival will be suitable for kids too? It is. Street shows dotted throughout the day as well as craft workshops and puppet shows.

You’ll find plenty of free food related crafts, activities and competitions inside the marquee. Fairground rides for small kids outside too.

There will also be animal displays from A & A Animal Encounters too!

Some activities are at specific times throughout the day head over to the Caerphilly.gov.uk for more info.
