I’m always missing out when it comes to chocolate and ice cream now i’m dairy free so i’m excited to test the Mr Frosty Choc Ice Maker we were sent out with a dairy free recipe.
What you will need;
Dairy free yogurt
Dairy free chocolate
Sprinkles for decoration
Method;
Fill your penguin molds (make sure you’ve placed the stick in) with your yogurt, obviously I chose dairy free but you could add anything. I want to try mushed banana next time. Freeze until solid and then carefully remove. The mold is silicone so its pretty easy to get them out.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave using the bottom bit of the igloo (the lid is the stand) making sure to do it slowly, in short bursts so you don’t burn the chocolate.
Then dip your frozen yogurt penguins into the melted chocolate and add sprinkles. I really want to try adding hazelnuts when I make the banana ones.
Pop them into the stand to set (which doesn’t take long) and enjoy.
The process is really simple and you don’t need much prep to make some really tasty treats. Having yogurt rather than ice cream makes them that little bit healthier and using frozen fruit instead would be even better.
I’m sure this will come in handy loads when Pops has friends or cousins over and because they can be made dairy free it means R (and I) can enjoy one too.
Until the next post,
Are and Pops.
